Dr. Robert T. Pedigo
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Pedigo is a native of Tennessee. He obtained both his bachelor and doctoral degree from the University of Tennessee. He is an avid follower of the U.T. Vols, golfer, and he and his family are active members of the Lewes Church of Christ. His professional interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, and minimally invasive procedures.
Dr. Andrea R. Richter
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Andrea Richter is a native of Delaware, a 1983 graduate of the University of Georgia, and a 1986 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She has special interest in internal medicine, ophthalmics, and behavior. Outside of practice, she stays active with family.
Dr. Christine L. Clark
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Christine Clark is a native of Maryland; growing up she spent summers enjoying Lewes and Rehoboth Beach.
She joined the hospital as a veterinary assistant in 1990 and after graduating from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, she returned to Lewes, Delaware. Dr Clark became a partner of Savannah Animal Hospital in 2014.
Her veterinary interest include internal medicine, ultrasonography and chemotherapy.
Dr. Clark lives with her husband, Tony, daughter, Emma, and golden retriever, Brew. As a family they are always planning and looking forward to their next Caribbean adventure.
Dr. Erin Giebel
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr Erin Giebel is a native of Gaithersburg Maryland. She is a 2000 graduate of Virginia Tech and a 2004 graduate of Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Erin has been in Delaware since 2004, living in Milford, Delaware with her husband, Cory, and two sons, Lawson and Brooks. In her free time she enjoys watching her boys in various sports or spending time by the water. She became a partner at Savannah Animal Hospital in 2014.
Dr. Melissa Schwarmann
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Melissa Schwarmann grew up in Southeastern, Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Delaware and received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a concentration in pre-veterinary medicine. Dr. Schwarmann is a 2012 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and spent her clinical year at Oregon State School of Veterinary Medicine. In January 2016 Dr. Schwarmann became a partner in Savannah Animal Hospital. She has special interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, ultrasonagraphy and internal medicine.
Dr. Schwarmann lives in Rehoboth with her husband, Dave, and their two dogs, Simon and Koby. In her free time Dr. Schwarmann enjoys traveling, kayaking, snorkeling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Jennifer Fabryka
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Jen Fabryka grew up just south of Dover, Delaware. She had a wide variety of pets while growing up and wanted to be a veterinarian for almost as long as she can remember. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Animal Science with a concentration in pre-veterinary medicine and minors in Chemistry and Biology. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri in 2012. Dr. Fabryka spent a year in equine and small animal practice in Dover, Delaware before joining Savannah Animal Hospital in December 2013. She currently lives in Lewes, where she enjoys the sun and sand and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Clifford Howard
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Clifford Howard is originally from Poolesville, Maryland and grew up on a small family farm with sheep, cows, goats, and three amazing Labradors. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science with a focus on pre-veterinary medicine. He began his career by gaining years of clinical experience in diverse fields of veterinary medicine, from private practice to nutritional research. Dr. Howard obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. He joined Savannah Animal Hospital in July and now lives in Milton, Delaware with his wife. He has special interests in emergency medicine, soft tissue surgery and ultrasonography.
Dr. Emily Bielecki
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Emily Bielecki grew up in Cordova, MD. She attended University of Maryland where she received her B.S. in Animal Science, pre-veterinary concentration. Dr. Bielecki went on to earn her degree as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and spent her clinical year at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She joined Savannah Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Associate in October of 2018. Her special interests include preventative medicine and nutrition.
Dr. Bielecki lives in Rehoboth with her Weimaraner, Minerva, and cat, Mara.
Dr. Erin Altares
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Erin Altares grew up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She attended Elizabethtown College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in pre-veterinary medicine. Dr. Altares then moved south to attend the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville, TN. She has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, animal behavior, and in Fear Free Medicine. Dr. Altares is Fear Free certified and it is her goal to keep animals happy and free of fear or anxiety when they visit the veterinary hospital.
Dr. Altares and her cat Toulouse moved to Delaware and joined Savannah Animal Hospital in June of 2019.
In her free time, Dr. Altares enjoys baking and gardening, as well as spending time outdoors hiking and running.
